well if you take it, and then get a cut, then you might bleed uncontrollably and not be able to stop it, i would listen to your doctor- their is a reason why doctors say these things- to better your health

Valium is not a blood thinner but I won't say it is OK to take it. The main concern would be its possible interaction with whatever medicines you are on.

I'm not going to say it's ok to take it, but valium doesn't thin the blood.

I agree with some people here that diazepam and blood thinners (low dose aspirin, plavix..etc) have different mechnisms of reaction. However, you doctor knows best!!!! Listen to him!
