Sure DEI is a pretty good team; solid cars week in and week out, except for the fact the engines blow every so often. But who would really want to drive the 8 next year? With Theresa being such a ***** I think Earnhardt fans are instantally going to hate whoever is driving the 8 car...they need something to do now that Gordon and Johnson are his teamates. What do you think? Earnhardt fans will you hate the 8 no matter whose driving it?

Well there are definitely some drivers that wouldn't mind driving it. Ask Ken Schrader, Jeremy Mayfield, Joe Nemechek, Sterling Marlin, JJ Yeley and Scott Wimmer about that one. I'm sure there are many more that wouldn't mind though. Now I'm not saying that one of the top notch drivers on a good team would want to transfer to the 8 car but they will undoubtedly find someone eager to get in that ride. I'd still rather go there than be stuck at Evernham.

I don't think anyone would want to drive the 8, I can see the beer cans and boos coming now especially in Talledega, atlanta, and darlington.. I'm sure it would blow over after a while, but it will be wild to watch....Now if Jr does great at HMS, I don't think the fans will care.... As long as Jr wins at HMS, I could careless about who is in the 8, and I hope that driver who is the 8 car next yr has the same crappy equipment that Dale Jr has had at DEI..

If your a good driver you shouldn't care about who hates you because you replaced another driver. As a driver you want to get into the best equipment you can so that you can showcase your skills and earn better equipment! DEI is one of the top 5 teams and gives good enough equipment ot get into the chase and win races! Unless your driving for Gibbs or Hendrick I'd think you'd want to go there!

DEI is a notch below Hendricks and Gibbs but still pretty even with Roush, RCR and better than Penske or others not worth mentioning with the elite teams!

I know I wouldn't want to be the guy wheelin' the 8.
Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon think they get pelted with beer cans every week . . . . Jeesh . . . . whoever is behind the wheel of the 8 in '08 better carry an umbrella.

Do you propose the #8 of Dale Jr in Jr Motorsports (JRM) interior the national sequence? Jr is scheduled to run some NNS races interior the #5, that's owned by ability of HMS, yet operated by ability of JRM in '08, yet while he runs any further NNS races, it is going to in all probability be interior the #8, that's his own automobile. In Cup, DEI nevertheless has the #8 and which would be pushed by ability of Mark Martin and "The Cuban Missile," Aric Almirola.

I am a die hard Earhardt fan. I'm a 21 year old female who is absolutley in love with Junior. i was very sad to see Dale leave DEI. Especially to join Hendrick Motor Sports. I hate Jeff Gordon, but you know its all good. But now i'm positive that I will forever hate whoever is driving my Babys car! He will always be #8 in my mind!

It's only a number! As long as it has a new paint scheme, it won't take long to see it as just another car on the track. It won't be the Bud Chevy #8 anymore, so I don't see it being a problem.

Go Jr.>>>>

Well, I'm sure plenty of people would want to drive the #8. And if you do hate whoever drives the #8 no matter who drives it, then you fit the stereotype and ARE a TYPICAL Jr. fan!
