Hello!

I turn mine off before: going on a drive; hiking; with family; at a party; in hospital; on a buss; for a walk; in my garden; sleeping; nuptuials; bathing experience and meditating.

Choices.

I have only had a mobile phone in the last five years, since my children started school (that paranoia that the school might need you when you are out shopping). When I was growing up we just made do with 10p in our back pocket "in case of emergency". Mind you there were more phone boxes around in those days.....(makes me sound really old doesn't it? I'm only 38!)

It gives me a good laugh to see these oh-so-important little things in their flip-flops talking on their cell phones while shopping or at a restaurant. My, they must be soooo important.

I own a business and only use my cell phone to pick up messages At my convenience! I would love to get a button/bumper sticker that says "Too important to answer cell phone". :)

I can remember before cell phones when i was a teenager (20 years ago)and my mom would send me to the store for something and by the time i got to the store my mom had called the store (we lived in a small town) they would tell me hey your mom called she said to pick up some milk to or what ever she wanted. and I wouuld have tons of phone messages left for me on the fridge to call so and so back. so we used lots of paper for messages. and you coudlnt stay on the phone long because there wasnt call waiting . plus i have to say it is easier to get a hold of someone if there is an emergency. so I have to say I LOVE MY CELL PHONE.

exciting question! on social amassing, I particularly have theory approximately how cellular telephones have replaced society in small techniques. in many situations whilst a clean technologies, like instant internet or traction administration, is proficient into the marketplace, the recent product will strengthen convenience and or safety. not many stuff i can think of of have replaced the way we do element like cellular telephones have. as of previous due, the cellular telephone has replace into greater then basically verbal substitute device. back to reality in spite of the shown fact that, listed under are some examples i'm pertaining to when I say cellular telephones replace the way we do issues. cellular telephones even have taken away our could desire to apply our memory in some aspects. the telephone has replace into our notepad, calendar, calculator, alarm clock, memory, reminder, significant different, superb buddy, and lover. fairly of have a plethora of telephone numbers in our memory, we now purely have 911, 411, and the dialed into our heads. i'm not asserting that's reliable or undesirable, I’m basically asserting what I see. cellular telephones aren’t purely changing each and all of the failings I particularly have earlier pronounced, they are turning out to be plenty greater. I particularly have been looking right into a clean telephone enterprise referred to as Helio. The advertisements say something alongside the strains of “Don’t call us a telephone enterprise" or "Don’t call it a telephone.” After looking into the centers, I understand why they say that. the coolest of the line telephone referred to as the flow has GPS Google maps, a 2.0-mega pixel digital camera, e mail, IM, internet, photograph messaging, video messaging, video taking part in, mp3 participant, Bluetooth, and a telephone. The exhibit is super so a techniques as telephones come, however the telephone is very compact. the day gone by I went to the Helio save in San Diego and used the GPS equipment. i had to apply the directional function, so I pinged my present day area because of the fact the beginning ingredient and put in my mom and dad previous handle because of the fact the needed trip spot. I gained’t circulate into ingredient because of the fact it incredibly is going to take to long to write down. i'm going to assert it labored as properly as Google maps. To me.....we became slaves of this technologies. _What will come next? much less thinking and greater doing? i exploit it purely is incredibly needed! mild shiny buddy!

how about 9-10 year olds with cell phones? You'd think the rest of us were lucky to actually survive without one.

It is a major annoyance. My biggest pet peeve is getting stuck behind some moron who's driving 10 mph under the speed limit while talking on their cell phone.

I work in two BIG industries at the same time in which everyone is so damn busy that if I miss their call, it will be a WEEK before I am able to reach them again, or vice-versa. We depend on our cell phones, and frankly, we don't know how either industry ran at all without them.

I have yet to cause an accident or near accident (or hold somebody up in traffic, for that matter,) while driving and talking on my phone. Before you judge, put yourself in the other guy's place.
