Personally, am not a fan of wagamama, i think it's a bit bland. :O(
Pizza Express is nice. Not too expensive either. You should give their pizza dough balls a try. Yummy.. :O)
Ooooh.. Belgo's, there's one in Covent Garden. Nice food (love their mussels & chips!), not too expensive and they have an amazing selection of Belgian beers. Sunday lunches are something to be wary of tho; there tend to be more young kids around than is healthy for a person's eardrums... ;O)

I've tried and tested all of the below (and they don't call me fussy for nothing) and these are my london faves;
-fire and stone (pizza)
-mango tree (thai)
-my old dutch (sweet and savoury pancakes)
-TGI Fridays (American)
-Wagamama (Japanese)
-Crazy Homies (mexican)
google any of them to have a look at the menu
