I didn't think birds were frightened of UV but that way they could see there was a barrier. But hawks could work.

I am not aware that birds are frightened of either ultraviolet light or suntan lotion.

You can, however, get decals of hawks to place on the glass.
You can also get owl statuettes to sit outside the window or on the window sill. Owls will normally scare other birds away.
Find the statuettes at farm stores where they sell them to either scare away birds or to attract Turkeys during Turkey hunting season ( the Turkeys will gobble if they see an owl).
