I believe no.

The idea of being made "in God's image," I believe, means in part that God gave man the same power to create as He did. Although man may use God's "raw materials," it's man that does the creating.

Another difference -- man is not quite as discerning in how he uses what he creates.

I believe things made by man can be inspired from people in the spirit world maybe your loved ones. If a man is an inventor and his son is the same, If the father dies the son will carry on but the father can suggest things to the son in his sleep state. This is the same with father and son musicians, love is a strong bond that cannot be broken even in death. Both still live only in different worlds one in the spirit world and the other in this world.

This question is really a question of logic, not theology.

If you say that there is an original source to all things in this world (God), and all things come from that source, then any and everything in this world must be from that source.

To say that something created from that original source (Man) can then create a source of his own that equals or diminishes the original source, is to make the original source invalid and false.

That is the long answer. The short answer is: YES

Get real!!! God doesn't exist!!! There is no god!!!! Evolution made us all, not God out of clay and a spare rib. If that's the case, who made god? God and religion are just there for people who are so sad that they need something else in there lives to feel as though they have a meaning full existance. Religion and gods cause more wars and misery in the world than anything else. Everything is either man made or nutural - not godly. Sorry but that's the way it is.

Some of you are saying god created 'cars, jets, buildings,' etc. Do you have any idea of how absurd such statements are? Have you actually read the bible? I have, several times. In no place in the bible does it speak of any human activity that dates after the First Century--over 2000 years ago. Who thought up and created the first heart transplant? In our time, not in the time of Jesus, a human being and a human brain and human genius brought such a grand thing to life. If this god 'created' it, then why the dickens did he, she, or it wait two thousand years to save human life? Etc., etc., etc. Some people in our midst are one of two things: they are either stupid or they are stupid. In which category should one place you Fundies?

A man creates and manufactures a snow ball machine, puts ice in it, turns it on, and then it makes snowballs. Did the man create the snowballs or did the machine?

Creations of the creation

In a way, yes. In a more practical way, no. He gave us the gifts and ability to create for ourselves. As we see around us, God is a master creator, and he created us in his image. That means we have the ability to create as he creates (not to the same extent, but you get the picture).

Technically, yes, because God created us in His image. Therefore, we have been given the abillity to be creative ( just as God is). Without Him, we would have nothing.
