Hi!

It's good that you are not afraid of dogs in real life. Perhaps the dogs in your dream are a symbol of a suspicion you are picking up that someone you trust is not being totally up front and may secretly be undermining you. The fact that you are having the dream and that in it you have a free hand to get the dream dog off indicates that you are in charge of sorting this unpleasantness out.

Close your eyes and think about your friends and acquaintances - big and small, close and not so close. Who floats to the surface? It doesn't mean they are not loyal - just that there is some tension that THEY feel between you. What can you do to clear the air?

Good wishes.

The suggestion of an obedience class is an excellent one. Read here https://tr.im/gsrNo
It will help your dog learn to behave around other dogs, and help keep your training moving forward as you'll want to be prepared for the next class. Also, a good instructor can be a wonderful resource, someone to help you with any questions or concerns about your dog. Leash training can take a LOT of time and patience, depending upon the dog. I'm not sure what you mean by 'horrible on a leash' but my basic suggestion is that you take a lot of yummy treats with you on walks. When your dog behaves well on the leash (not pulling) praise her and give her treats. Change direction a lot so that she learns to pay attention to YOU and where you are going. It's also helpful to teach a "Watch Me" command such that whenever your dog looks at you you praise her and give her a treat. About chewing, yes a Kong is a great chew toy. Some dogs also like Nylabone brand bones. I suggest also teaching a "Leave It" command. You use this when she shows interest in chewing on something she shouldn't. Then immediately give her something she is allowed to chew, such as the Kong stuffed with somethig yummy. This same command will be helpful on walks when she wants to sniff or eat something she shouldn't. Again, when she does leave the item alone, be sure to give lots of praise. I would look into an obedience class right away. I think that you'll find that a good obedience class can help enormously! Good luck and enjoy your new dog.

Dog Dream Meaning

Psychological Meaning: Dogs helped man to hunt and herd his flock. They are therefore a symbol of the right inner relationship between you and your animal nature. They may also symbolise loyalty and guidance. Alternatively if the dog is ferocious then you have a inner conflict with the animal side of your nature. A dog straining on it’s leash may indicate that your emotions are at the ‘end of the tether’. Perhaps you need to express your anger about an issue that upsets you?

Mystical Meaning: One dream oracle warns that to dream of a bloodhound is a omen for your imminent downfall. You’d be barking mad to believe that.

Dogs represent immoral issues and when a dog bites you in a dream it means that a immoral issues has latched on to you. But by pulling the dogs teeth apart, it means you have the might and ability to pull yourself free from these issues. Sometimes the dogs can be people who know who are a back influence on you and they have latched on to you.

I don't, but I think a guy called Freud did! He would probably put all the blame on your mother!!

But maybe even though you are not scared of dogs, you had some experience many years ago. Or the dogs may be a sign for other things in your life: a pressure or worry that is niggling away at you.

According to Dreamcrowd:

To hear barking in your dream, represents your tendency of barking orders at people instead of asking or talking kindly. It may also indicate that you are annoying others, grumpiness, or fussiness. To see a happily barking dog in your dream, symbolizes pleasures and much social activity. If the dog is barking ferociously, then it represents your habit of unnecessary barking at people and the situations around you. It could also mean unfriendly companions.

It could be financial troubles.... possibly worried about getting in debt.
Big amounts or small amounts may have been OK in the beginning but you probably need to get a grip of it now.
Just something maybe to keep an eye on.

I think that some one or something that should be in your favour you suspect is trying to harm you, but that you are confident you can stop whatever it is from hurting you long time.

A dog is usually a faithful servant to man, only biting if it is not under control. you are struggling to control something in your life.
