LOL, you mean AGNOSTIC

2. a person who denies or doubts the possibility of ultimate knowledge in some area of study.
–adjective 3. of or pertaining to agnostics or agnosticism.
4. asserting the uncertainty of all claims to knowledge.

ATHEIST

–noun a person who denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings.

In pharmacology an agonist is a substance that binds to a specific receptor and triggers a response in the cell. It mimics the action of an endogenous ligand (such as hormone or neurotransmitter) that binds to the same receptor.

Agonism is also a political theory which emphasises the potentially positive aspects of certain (but not all) forms of political conflict. It accepts a permanent place for such conflict, but seeks to show how we might accept and channel this positively. For this reason, agonists are especially concerned to intervene in debates about democracy. The tradition is also referred to as agonistic pluralism.

An atheist, in contrast, is one who doesn't believe in a diety.

There appears to be a very fine difference between the two.

Yes, they differ very much. An agnostic:
noun 1. a person who holds that the existence of the ultimate cause, as God, and the essential nature of things are unknown and unknowable, or that human knowledge is limited to experience.
2. a person who denies or doubts the possibility of ultimate knowledge in some area of study.

So basically, agnostics know that there is something, but do not have enough evidence to prove and believe in exactly one thing. So they are open to all possibilities.

I think you mean agnostics.

Agnosticism isn't a position of "not sure." Agnosticism means "without knowledge" and is the philosophy that it is impossible to know if a god exists. It isn't about belief or disbelief, and it isn't a person who is uncertain. It is the premise that knowledge of the existence of a deity is unknowable.

Atheism is the lack of belief in god/s. There is weak atheism and strong atheism. Weak atheists say: "I do not believe that any god/s exist." Strong atheists say: "I believe that no god/s exist."

I am technically both an agnostic and an atheist. I think that it is impossible to have absolute knowledge about the existence of a god, but I don't believe that any god/s are out there.

Agnostic. They are truly the unbiased ones because they are not sure if God exists or not. Or, they may believe that there is a Deity(s) or forces out there that control things, they are just not sure what. Theists believe in a God(s). Atheists do not believe there is a God(s).

Agnostics merely say there is no evidence to prove or disprove the existence of a god or gods. Some lean more toward deism, and others lean more toward atheism. Most of the time, agnostics will eventually go one way or the other.

I think you mean agnostic. Agnosticism is the position that neither side (atheists or theists) can prove their position, and that there is little point in arguing over it. This being said, it does not mean that they don't believe or disbelieve (as is commonly thought). You can be agnostic and believe (on faith) that God exists, or does not exist.

maybe you mean agnostic?

agonist means something else

agnostics are not sure whether there is god or not since it can't be proven either way, while atheists are sure that there is no god or any higher being or power
