Go for it. It's one of my sons favorite foods. He's 2 1/2 and has been eating it for a while now.

Go for it. Make sure there is a ER in the area. Keep a close eye on him/her for about 2 hours after it. He should be fine I fed my 2 year old peanut butter when we were on vacation. Now that I think about that, it was pretty stupied.

Yeah. Asian kids get it all the time and they are all healthy.
Try it, if the kids likes it, you've got something else to feed him/or her. If you notice ANY kind of reaction though, dont feed the kid shrimp anymore and take the kid to the pediatrician.

Good luck!

I wouldn't.

Shrimp is the cockroach of the sea.

They are bottom feeders and even though they are tasty and high in protein, they are very high in cholesterol. They feed of off garbage on the bottom of the ocean. To test the levels of pollution in the ocean, scientists test the shrimp.

All shellfish is very unhealthy in general, even though it is quite delicious.

I personally wouldn't give a child seafood until they are about five or so....so they can verbally tell you if anything is wrong. Most seafood allergies are closing of the throat..You would want to know if your child can't swallow properly...what better way then to wait until they can communicate properly.
