I'd recommend simmering for about 20 to 30 minutes...
Simmer is barely bubbling.

If you want your chicken to be tender and moist and not tough and stringy, please don't boil the chicken. Instead, place the chicken in cold water and bring the water to a gentle boil over high heat. Then, reduce the heat and simmer the chicken legs over low heat for about 1/2 hour. Test doneness by piercing one of the leg quarters with a fork. If the meat is tender and the juices do not run pink or red, the chicken is done.

uh, bring it to a boil and reduce the heat to simmer and allow to simmer for about 50 to 60 mins. If you boil chicken it will be tough. You should sort of poach it. Covered and allow it to rest in the liquid for at least 20 mins after.

if it were a full chicken it would take exactly 30min. but since these are pieces 15min would fully cook it, so keep it for 20 to be onthe safe side;).
u can also check by putting a fork through the chicken if it goes in really easy then ur dinner is ready.
good luck

I just boiled a ckn last night. I first cut it up and boiled it on medium high for about 20 minutes. When the meat starts to fall off the bone.....then it is ready.

If it says cook from frozen, that means you may cook it directly from its frozen state without defrosting. It cannot say defrost in the freezer overnight, because it will not defrost in a freezer! It must say defrost in the refrigerator overnight, ie, do not leave out on the counter to thaw. You can cook it however you like, boiling is fine, because it is already cooked. You are preparing it for taste and heating it through.

Take one out with tongs after about 15 minutes and slide a knife into a small area. If it goes in easily and there is no red color on the meat, it's done. If not, continue cooking.
