Drink lots of water and get plenty of rest, find out way to enjoy what you are doing and take your mind off of the heat. What every you are thinking about the most is what will dominate your thoughts. Focus on improving your play and watch the more experienced player to get tips.

well the heat want last to much longer for one , not sure where your from but im in GA its 101 here and i am outside running everyday chopping wood sparring and working on the heavy bag speed bag ( by the way I box ) . I think about it this way while im doing this now when I compete it will olny be easier . Give it your all at practice in horrible conditions and when the season official starts it will be cooler and i am indoors when i have a fight . But working in this heat tires you and it pushes you and you want to quit but you dont and you are ( without realizing ) building so much endurance and skill you will be so proud of yourself when you score a goal win a game or maybe even get a championship at the end of the year it will all be worth it . Trust me 2 hours is nothing I am up at 5 in the morning and training till 9 I go to work then I lift weights come home and train on my on from about 5 till 8 and do it all again the next day so it could always be worse . . You will love the endurance and energy it gives you and I promise you wont regret it . Hope this helps at all

Good for you for having a healthy take on life. The word you're looking for is commitment. The ability to take on a responsibility and see it through to the end. The lesson you learn at this point will shape who you become in the future. Will you quit just because something becomes a little difficult? Or do you want it enough deep down to keep moving forward no matter what stands in your way. I think you are the type of person that gets what they want and can feel real accomplishment of a job well done! This is an easy one, life is full of these challenges. Put one foot in front of the other and keep going! This will separate you from the talkers and show people you are a doer!! Good luck Horizon and go get 'em!

Just try to think about all the people who can't play sports, who can't run...think about the girls who want to make the team and couldn't and how they would die to be in your shoes.

Think about how disappointing it was for them to tell their parents they got cut and didn't make it. Think about how they cried and felt ashamed about it.

Sometimes you have to be thankful for what you have and talk to yourself to push on. We've all been where you are now.

Go out there and just do it. Do it as if it's the last time you will be on that field because no one is promised tomorrow.
