Obviously, I am not sure about your state, but I am sure it is pretty much a standard proceeding.
Your license is always taken on an OWI (operating while intoxicated) whether it is your first or you have had more. You will be suspended for sure and maybe even possibly revoked. That is just how it works when you get an OWI.
If you think you were wronged in any way, then go get an attorney to help you out and answer your tough questions relating to OWI.

No amy your going to be hoofing it where ever you go from now on. Unless you can afford to hire a cab each and every time you want to go out somewhere! First time its usually a fine, suspended jail sentence, 3 days in drunk school, and 6 month lisence suspension. Thats Ohio.

Even for a first time a suspension is mandatory in most places and the judge has no choice.
