Some people say so.

The truth is Morality has to come from above. no one can 'invent' their own Morality. Therefore Immorality is defined from above also.

I much more want morality to be given by an all knowing all loving God then one of us mortal humans.

Don't you?

What does 'amoral' mean to you? Morals have to do with how we treat each other, and our environment. Good morals have their origin in the Lord God of the Bible. God causes the rain to fall and the sun to shine on the just and the unjust. Just so, those who are without the Lord do often have His grace to be morally good. And they have His grace for much more if they would only realize it. Worshipping or not worshipping is neither moral or immoral or amoral.

No, you still don't get it.

Immoral = worshiping any human invention of god.

The first Commandment was actually "Thou shalt not make up stories about supreme beings" but the heavenly lawyers (now there's an oxymoron) looked it over and decided it was unenforceable and struck it sua sponte in toto.

I'm a Christian, but have always felt that morality and religion are two separate issues. I know many non-Christians and non-believers who are highly moral people. Some of the atheists I know are also among the most moral people I know.

Not at all, but most morals do originate with God. Care for your neighbor, care for orphans and widows. Don't charge interest on loans to families, help those in need, be kind to those who hate you, give with a cheerful heart, honer your government leaders, the list is quite extensive, its in a book called the bible, if you have seen on.

I guess the only difference between immoral and sinful is whether you are doing the judging yourself or claim that God is helping.

You can get around that by making your version of God a cup of coffee. It blesses me every morning with the desire to get out of bed and go to work.

Thank you Java!

Morality=individual

So, no, whoever said that is narrow minded.

What is moral to, say, a tribe untouched by Western civilization may not be moral to us. And who are we to say they are wrong?
