If it's being grilled, I would go with a darker beer. New Castle or Smithwick's- brown ales, light weight, mildly carbonated. Or, get darker. Sam Adams Black Lager, or Honey Porter. Something with roasted malts and perhaps a smokey taste.

These days pairing the right beer with a food entree is as important as matching the proper wine. With so many brands and different types of beer available it can be a daunting task. Now, if i was serving a thick juicy steak I would have to pair it with an ice cold Old Style! (in a tall glass) the natural hops and Krusiening of the beer makes it as natural of an accompaniment as a baked potato. For chicken, again I'd say a nice Old Style. The pure Artesian waters lend themselves to the delicate poultry. Hope you enjoy the dinner and I'm sure you wont go wrong by serving up the C-Old Style.
