I answered some recent questions and to be truthful, I put the questioners to the task. Some have not agreed with me, I have done this for one reason and one reason only. If you have ever lived outside of the fellowship of Christ, in a fallen state apart from grace, it is the ugliest thing you will ever do.

I made comprimises here and there as a new Christian, and each time I forgot some of the basic tennants like "being fessed up" "being quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger" being "on the fence neither hot or cold". and I fell and there was no one to restore me.

So many sinfull activities God has delivered me from, I don't mean to look down on folk that have problems, I'm still a sinner too....but we as Christians have to step it up don't we?

We have a war that is not against flesh and blood , but against the unseen principalities and powers that are allowed to see how and who we really are. (if not how would they be able to accuse us?)

So I want to know what you think of me. You that are the called out ones, check me out. Let me know if you think I am too harsh, or If I should keep on preaching it like Billy Sunday....(i heard he liked to preach ...."hell hot"... and grace free).

I am not above critiscism, but I ain't out here to put on a show neither. I want my Gospel like Dr. J. Vernon McGhee "whith some shoe leather on it" I want a gospel I can walk in, a gospel to be humbled by, to always remind me of the power it has as Paul said " the Gospel is the Power unto salvation" Isaiaha said, "the word of God dose not go out and come back void" see also Titus 2:11-14 Rom 8 and 2 Cor 4.

Paul taught us to not go and run to the courts if we had a grievance against a brother in Christ, but to judge one another in the Chruch. Therefore we must be ready to be careful to not preach this message and in my opinion taint it with the worlds flavor.

I'll maybe add more, but for now it your turn. thanks B

OK, let me remind you, I want you to check out some of my answers to recent Christians questions, and tell me if you think I'm being to harsh. or what?

Some of you are just looking at this question and without researching my past you are just spouting you hatred towards Christians.

If your anything other than a Christian I am not here to judge you. As a matter of fact Paul teaches that we as Christians are not to be out judging the world but to judge each other in the body of Christ, for our unity and His witness.

Anyway this is what I'm getting at.

Thank you for your profession of Christ. You are right. I fall into sin on a regular bases. I have personally struggled with things in my life that I know has slowed the relationship between myself and God. I believe, that not only do we need to "step it up", but each of us individually needs to be praying for our other brothers and sisters in Christ. I will be praying for you, too.

Hiya Bob. I haven't read many of your answers but I have read most of your questions for the past few weeks and here's my honest opinon. You're sincere and a tad long winded (I have that problem too)...you have a good grasp on the bible and what it means to live by its teachings. I think you may be a tad more "conservative" than I but that's just style not substance. I have done a little investigating of the denomination you support (and promote a bit) and what I found was consistent with the previous statement.

I do recall a at least one question you asked that I thought was ill-advised (So, you don't believe...). In that question, you suggested that fear is what drove atheists and, while I agree, I think that acusing someone else of being afraid is a quick way to turn them off to the rest of your message. I think you have the knowledge and skills to ask more neutral questions...questions that don't put people on the defensive from the get-go. Instead of suggesting the answer, just ask...instead of suggesting that fear motivates someone's behavior, just ask them what motivates their behavior.

In short, I like you Bob *smile*! I think we may share similar testimonies and though we may have followed a different path and choose now to worship God in a different way, you're more my brother than my biological brother. Love Ya and I'll be praying for you.

There are many answers for you to peruse, so I trust God will lead you to take some time reading this one.

When you speak the truth in love, out of concern, and yet are thought to be harsh, the fault does not lie in you, but in the person who will not receive it. Often I am called harsh for doing this same thing, but in the end allowing someone to stay in his or her error, is hating them, rather than loving them.

Not that you should try to correct others if you are doing the same thing. I'm sure you realize that that is picking at a mote in your brothers eye, when you have a beam.

This is a most perilous journey we trek upon, a narrow road where one may wonder off, but the Great Shepherd always comes to look for the sheep who may have wandered away.

I liked that parable of the bible much more when it was expounded on to me. You see, the shepherd would look for his sheep that wandered, and then break it's legs so that it could not stray in the immediate future. By the time it healed, it new where it belonged, and did not stray again.

Anyway, I have been blessed to find a godly man, who has blessed me in many ways, opening my eyes to truths (like the above) in the bible. He teaches men that God has made them kings and priest of their households, and to stand up to the responsibility, not like the sissified worldling types who you find in every harlot church, on every street corner of this country. Lord willing, you will find your way too.

Peace in Christ

Continue in the things you have been taught, continue to speak the truth in love. Remember, the truth without love is a form of cruelty. Continue to preach the Gospel of grace and the freedom we have in Christ. Don't be shy to speak the truth here, you will get shot at, but the hardships we endure in this world cannot compare to the glory that awaits us. Always be reforming and refining your beliefs, bringing them more in line with Scripture.
Well done, brother

Bob, in some ways you remind me of myself. I Haven't been on the same street as you, but I've certainly been in the same neighborhood as far as sin is concerned and I have to praise God every day for His deliverance and I do that by living my life in a constant attitude of prayer. You ask what we (I) think of you. I think you are a true man among men, but I have a caution for you - sometimes the light burns brightest just before going out. Keep your faith and don't vary from it. There are those of us here who are strengthened by your witness which we know to be true. As I write this I feel a sadness for the atheist who will read these words, wishing they would join this fantastic fellowship of believers who make no assessment of them, but carry a heavy burden for their rebellion against God. I'll leave you with Romans 28:31; "Preaching the Kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

i'm a christian and i think you must feel your being harsh and judging alot if you really felt the need to type out this long question about it...some of your answers seemed kind of condescending...i think your putting yourself up on a bit of a pedestal, and if your not this question alone would lead some (especially non christians) to think you are...for example, the 'but' in this question says you konw what your doing, and may lead some to believe you DO mean to look down on them: "I don't mean to look down on folk that have problems, I'm still a sinner too....but we as Christians have to step it up don't we?"

while your intentions are clearly good, remember judging and reprimanding is not your place, or mine or anyone's but Jesus'. remember the verse about the plank in our eye and the speck in our brothers.

god bless, keep your heart in the right place

See Bob, in principle I think you're a likable fella and then you go and spout nonsense like "If you have ever lived outside of the fellowship of Christ, in a fallen state apart from grace, it is the ugliest thing you will ever do".

Also "So many sinfull activities God has delivered me from, I don't mean to look down on folk that have problems, I'm still a sinner too" is more or less assuming I have problems. There's also a "I'm better than you" component but that might be unintentional.

Bob as a Christian I love you. Walk with Christ.

When you fell, He was there to pick you up.

Sinning can be easy. Taking the road less traveled is a choice.

Go with God.

The Christian walk is a means of transportation not a destiny. You fall, you get back up. You screw up, you ask forgiveness. You forgive as you want others to forgive you. You will be tempted and you will stumble but shake it off and keep your eye on the goal.

Blessed are the poor in spirit

Jesus tells me to say I love you
