Is anyone a member to the www.neighborhoodscout.com web site? I am looking at moving before my son is of age to attend school and I need to know the best school districts. Any state please. If you feel the neighborhood you live in is nice, safe, and has the best school district Please let me know. If anyone is a member of the above mentioned web site please let me know where the best schools are located, city and State. Thank you so much for your responses and opinions :)

You can increase any school district's ratings by at least 15% by getting rid of your television set. All of them. Don't watch it yourself, either. Then get rid of the video games, if any.

The best school district is whichever one you send your kid to as long as you take a strong interest in his work and progress. Make sure he's doing his schoolwork, read to him, go to museums and such with him, and make sure that your home is the sort of place where school is valued.

A lot of places in Long Island, New York: Jericho, Plainview, Syosset--are all good school districts. And since the taxes here are some of the highest in the country, you can know the schools are being well cared for.
