My father and his siblings have all passed from cancers, but my mothers side are all alive and kicking. It is known that the mothers gene is the cause of premature balding (genome) in her male offspring from her side of the family. Is the cancer genome prominate on the fathers or mothers side in off spring?

Not all cancers have a genetic link.

In the case of some forms of breast cancer, where there is a genetic link, this is not on a gender linked chromosome, but can be found and passed in both male and female members of the family.

My family (brothers and sisters) all carry this gene which we inherited from Mother who inherited from her father!

Those of our children who have been tested also all carry the gene.

Grandfather, mother and one sister all had genetically linked breast cancer.

2 aunts and 1 uncle had unrelated cancers.

3 of my generation, including me, have had unrelated cancers.

Genetics is not always the biggest risk factor!
