the scripture from Leviticus to prove that God is against something like tatoos such as ;
Leviticus 19:28 states: Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead; nor imprint any marks upon you: I am the LORD. "
~Then you should also not be eating pork or seafood. . . .and I am sure some other things that you and I do everyday.

The book of Leviticus contains over 600 individual "laws" that were delivered to Moses by God as a code to govern the religious behaviors of the Israelites while they were on their wilderness journey to the promised land. These laws dealt with religion, ritual, and the Israelites relationship to God, and were meant to differentiate and preserve the Israelites from the inhabitants of the lands in which they lived.

Some understand some don't....... some pick and choose...... you are right....... I am Christian, and I know the difference between OT and NEW.... they are both to guide and edify, BELIEVERS not the non believers..... that simple...... and most do not think before they speak of such verses.... certain things and verses were written for certain people and times.......... that simple...... God has his own reasons, and I do NOT claim to know all the whys or who's and whats...... God bless

ya know,i wasnt always a christian.acutally i was quite the opposite.complete opposite.
even then,i didnt flap my lips in such disrespect as some of the people here do,towards christians.
what the heck is the matter with you people?
theres alot worse things than being a christian thats for sure!
get a mirror.
i have a stack of tatoos, and piercings which i dont fill anymore.theres also alot worse sins to worry about than a tatoo.
my religion,in the same book, speaks to these issues.
i never needed the bible to treat people with a little respect.

Yes.
But thank God for HIS Mercy cause I have a tattoo.
Jesus said," it doesn't matter what goes into the body that defiles a man but what comes out"
There are enzymes in those animals and I understand the Why we shouldn't So I think if we want to we can just know there is a balance in it all.

the answer to your question is : YES. I understand, anyway. God is an all or nothing God....that's what makes Jesus Christ that much more wonderful......He fulfilled the law, and now we are covered by grace... One of the biggest messages from the OT is that NO ONE could keep all the laws, then nor now. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE. It's okay if you are in Christ....what people forget to mention is being in Christ means wanting and striving to keep the laws, and letting Jesus take over where we fail.

Ephesians 2:10 says we are God's workmanship. Would we not be defacing His work of art if we tattoo it? And God told Peter in Acts that pork and seafood were not unclean. So eat and be merry.

it's called selective bible citing. i laugh as hard when people use leviticus to say homosexuality is wrong. this book is useless to us. i really enjoy how i don't seen any christians on here sticking up for the verses they pick and choose to support whatever they want. could it be because they've never read the whole book of leviticus? or the whole bible? there's a lot of stuff in there i don't want defining me; that's why i stopped believing in it.

Because those laws do not apply to Christians. When did you last sacrifice your bull at the alter?
Jesus came to fulfill the law.....All it contained was summed up in the expression 'You will love your neighbor as yourself.'

I am a Christian, but I never favor cherry-picking Bible verses out of context as a means of judging people or establishing truth. Even Satan quoted the Old Testament to Jesus, so what's the sense?
