Another example of hate and bigotry found in the bible.
Looks like it applies to all of the above, even a handshake.

It refers specifically to marriage, and to marrying someone who is not a believer in God or Christ.
2 Corinthians 6:14-15 (Amplified Bible)
14Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness?
15What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial [the devil]? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?
I think the meaning of these verses is pretty clear. As a Christian believer, you want a partner who will help build up your faith, as you likewise build up the other person. You don't want to be half of a pair who's constantly working against one another.
The above verses also say "mismated alliances" which means to me, marriage, not just friendship. It also doesn't refer to "dating", which is a social phenomenon of modern-day America, and did not exist in Paul's time.

I believe unequally yoked also extends itself to more than just marriage. If you read verses 14 to 18 it becomes more clear. In Deut. 22:9-11, it speaks about maintaining disciplined order.
However, I also think it could depend on the two people and the relationship they already have. I would definitely pray and seek the Lord's will.

Unequally yoked is to marry someone that does not believe in Jesus Christ.(it is because the marriage from the beginning will be so torn) or God. Not definite where in the Bible. Applies to marriage. You have to be friends with the nonbelievers in order to bring Christ into their lives.

Unequally yoked refers to marriage. Meaning sinners and saved people shouldn't marry one another. To find it look in the index in the back of your bible under marriage.

This is found at 2 Corinthians 6:14. It can be applied to friendships and marriage since your marriage mate would also be your closest friend.
In the preceding verses, Paul urged the Christians there to widen out in their affections toward one another.(verses 12-14) He was saying that rather than seeking to become close friends with unbelievers, of whom they have nothing in common with spiritually, they should be cultivating close friendships with each other.
Of course, we should always be friendly toward those of different faiths. We might even call them our "friends" and we might feel close to some of them. But that doesn't mean that we should seek them as our close friends(ones with whom we like to spend a lot of time with or who we share very special times with. There is a difference between one who is a close, personal friend and anacquaintance or one we might feel is just a "good friend".

What this means is that men and women should be equal in marriage. There shouldn't be one that is over the other, or one that seen as "less". This means that they should share responsibility and work together to solve problems and make decisions. That doesn't mean that we have the same roles, just that we each understand and respect each other and don't try to be the dominate one all the time.

It means not marrying or dating(which if you're a Christian the purpose shoud be marriage) a person who is also a Christian. This isn't a new belief and definitely doesn't apply to friends, although you shouldn't associate with people who are totally opposite with what you believe unless you want to be like them.

just dating...you can be a friend to anyone but not always a dating relationship
unequally yoked means you're not on the same page...not on the same spiritual walk.
you may live for God but your partner may not be.
i cant rememeber where that is in the bible...sorry

Some people believe that it refers only to marriage, while other people believe it applies to anyone you need to stand side by side with (such as business partners), as oxen do in the yoke.

"Yoked" refers specifically to marriage, and therefore should be considered in dating. It does not apply to other relationships.
