The pole itself is broken inbetween the eyes.

Of course you can always add ferrules into the broken section. Here is a place where you can get them:

Be sure to get the correct size for your rod.

Not worth fixing. Buy a new one. Would you like to have a fish of a lifetime break free? Buy a good quality fishing rod. The best is St. Croix. For the money, the best is Shakespeare Ugly Stick. Faulty equipment could cause emotional pain, especially if you see a monster fish break loose because of faulty tackle.

Personally I'd just put it away in the "file cabinet" and get yourself another one. However the link exert gave is a good one and if your inta' repairin' then that'd be the route ta' go;)...

ps Sure hope it wasn't an expensive one?!

yes you can buy ferrels which connect back together. a good local tackle store should have them.
