If it is for a stovetop espresso maker, it should be the same as for espresso, and the better quality coffee the better quality results.

I like Medalia D'Oro, any really good one is fine, it is a taste thing and it may take some experimenting before you find a brand you like.

Even a gourmet store, if you want to buy a coffee grinder at a store, I got mine at WalMart, and you can grind it ever time, it makes a better tasting cup of coffee.

For Asian Indian Stainless steel(SS) percolator with inbuilt SS seive,you need very finely ground coffee powder.0.5 Peaberry+0.5 Plantation "A" of Indian Coffee Board-Coorg coffee is excellent.
