OMG i have the same problem, well atleast i did. YOU can't write a song but ur heart can. basically what im saying is what ever ur heart desires u should write about it, who cares if it dosen't ryhme or if some ppl don't like it, as long as you like it then every thing is alright. sometimes it will be hard thinking about what u want to write about but there are many things to choose from and again it's what ur heart desire's. <3

You do not have to be a songwriter to be a singer. There are alot of singers that don't write. You do however have to pick good songs to sing and hopefully you would get someone who could write just for you. Most singers who don't write work with someone who does. So if you don't like to write then you need to hook up with someone who writes songs that you like singing.

I love singing too - I am not in it for the money or fame - I just love to sing and no matter where I am that is what I will do. I have written songs though and I play several instruments - no matter how talented you are that is no garuntee to stardom. Don't let this gift become a burden because you may not end up famous - ok. There are alot of wonderful singers that I know that are not famous. I am not sure now days with all the VISUAL influences going on - that we have the best singers - it seems now they are more caught up on appearances than they are the quality of a singer.

There are just as many famous people who can't sing but they look good or WHATEVER that they put them up there. They are good performers but that does not mean they can really sing. You have to realize that with technology what it is they can run anyone through a sound board and make them sound decent by adding vocals from others and blending. Just some thoughts on the business side in case you did not know.

If you do try to write some songs - just write about your life and what you know. They may come out as poems at first but with some practice you will get it - and you are quite young to worry about all this yet. Take some time and grow up. Disney does put out a lot of young artist so you should try contacting them first. If you can sing they will get you the songs.

I Want To Write Songs

2016-12-12 03:14:28 · answer #4 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

I always admire singers that can write their own music. It shows they have the comprehension to sing music, and not have someone else write their music.
What I do, is I like to listen to a ton of different kinds of songs with various types of lyrics, and then I try to write after what I like best.
Also, I write down thoughts about one subject (like love, loss, and life) just like taking notes in class. Then I take lines that I like best, I put them into songform and make them rhyme, and I have a song.
Oh and just so you know, the basic song form is this:
Verse
Chorus
Verse
Chorus
Midverse that is different from the rest of the song
Chorus

Usually the chorus is the catchiest part of the song.
It takes a while to get the hang of writing songs, but you'll be able to do it. Musicians usually have a natural talent of it. :D

You don't have to write songs to be great singer. I would suggest just singing some songs that you like.

Good Luck! Lemme know how the career goes! I'd love to get into the spotlight too!

If you're an incredible singer then just tape yourself singing someone else's music for now and then someone will hopefully pick you up and they'll write music for you.

I have the same problem, but honestly you don t have to be able to write to sing. Find some music you can sing with ease and stick with it. Keep working hard to get people to notice you and then you might be able to find someone to collaborate with who does.
