I agreed up to the point when you said "weak sauce." For that, you lose.

That's like saying I'm going to 110 mph and get ticked off when the cop gives me the ticket and doesn't cut me some slack.

There's a belief by some (I think its called Universalism or something to that effect) that EVERYONE gets into heaven at some point, there's just a purifying process that takes a bit longer for some than others.

I'm under the belief that there's Heaven, Purgatory/Limbo, and Hell.

Purgatory is where you wait to be judged/are judged for your sins and then you get to sent to either place.

It's my hope that most people in purgatory get punished there instead of for all eternity and then get to go to heaven.

Regardless, very few people are "damned".

Usually people damn themselves. The belief is that people make their own personal hell. They actually decide their own fate.

Do you think a whole lot of 'em might make it up there and when they start their gloating and cheering at being right and self-righteous about their being correct at the rest of us going to hell that god will say, oops, that was a mistake and send 'em on down?
That was a long sentence.

Jesus Christ says, "Whosoever will..." Jesus Christ does not discriminate. He loves ALL mankind. He wants all mankind to willingly and freely love and accept Him and to have them spend eternity in Heaven with Him forever.

Jesus is a one-on-one Savior.

Almighty God and Jesus Christ do NOT choose it nor prefer that mankind spend eternity in The Lake Of Fire.

Anyone who ends up in the Lake Of Fire for eternity REQUESTED it.

You have Jesus to save you. You don't want Him, even to your dying breath? There is no mercy if that is the case.
