Forget butter. The best thing for that is Old Bay seasoning mixed with rock salt/kosher salt (about half and half). Butter sauce is for lobsters, Old Bay is for steamed blue crabs. Blue Crabs are absolutely delicious, only when steamed though.

A simple dip of vinegar, onions, garlic, chili and cilantro would be great. The point would be not to use dairy or heavy dressings which obscure the natural sweetness of the crab meat.
Otherwise, soy sauce, calamansi lime (or any sour citrus), chili and wasabi would do well.

melt some butter add some lemon juice, salt, pepper, little dill weed.. Enjoy the crabs.

Ketchup, horseradish, squeeze of lemon juice, worcestershire. Mix together to taste.
And don't forget Tabasco on the side!

melt 1 stick of butter, some of garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice of half a lemon, and red pepper flakes! it tatses sooo good!
