I'm a Christian but in my heart I just don't think God would send anyone to Hell for not believing in him. That's my own opinion. I know the Bible says differently....
I just see God as more forgiving than that. In all honesty I don't even know if I'm going to Heaven, that is His choice I do not say what he does and does not do. I just have my own thoughts on the matter. I think and feel in my heart of hearts if you are a good person you should be able to have a wonderful after-life...no matter what you believe

If god exists, there shouldn't be punishment at all.
But since he doesn't exist, we see punishment all around the world already.
Life is a punishment, to most people, who needs more.

Hard to say. Try looking though the roladex of world religious and the nasty things they threaten to non-believers. Even if we stick with Catholicism, personally I thought the 14th century descriptions of hell were much more creative than today's ones.

This is quite a gamble you are taking. Putting your eternal soul on the line with a physical opinion that there is no eternal God has odds that are wholesale against you.

According to my interpretation of scripture it is non-existence, plain and simple.
edit: and to answer those who say hell is separation from God, it is not.
Psalms 139:7-8
