There are $63 here. It's my grandmother's. The question is: what do I do?
A. Do I take them all so she'll think she put the money somewhere else and she doesn't remember it
or
B. Do I take a small amount, like $20 so she won't notice

what's the best way to go?

Gee that's a tough one- how big of a loser do you want to be?

the fact that you're asking this question is sheer proof that there is some portion of your conscience in working order at least. If there's one thing older people's memory does NOT fail at it is their money, so don't be so naive to assume that your grandmother won't take notice that any amount of money no matter how trivial it may appear to you, is missing. And secondly imagine how you'd feel if the very little money you may have had in your purse was missing. I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate grandma rooting around in your things now would you? in fact I imagine you wouldn't care if it was grandma taking your much needed money and you'd get extremely upset.

I believe it doesn't make any difference because I think your Grandmother put it there purposely to find out if you are a thief. If you take it all or any part of it,she will know something about you that you've already told the rest of us. You are a thief.

P.S. I hope this is a put-on,albeit a bad one, because if it is not,you are the lowest of the low.

Well, if you're not giving her enough credit and she does remember exactly where she put the money AND how much she had AND there's no one else who could've taken it, then you'd be busted. Why do you think you should be taking this money anyway? If there's something you need, the "best way to go" would be just to ask her for it.

C. Leave all the money where it is.

Your poor aging grandmother has worked all her life and she deserves that money. Think about when you are elderly and there's no more social security available and your granddaughter decides to steal from you.

I can't believe you're asking us the best way to steal from your grandmother and then deceive her about what happened.

It's your grandma! Be nice! Don't take her money... When she comes back just ask nicely for some. If she says no, then leave it with that.
