Got one on launch day and although the features and graphics are impressive (on HD TV), I have to say I am really p*ssed off with the selection of games! Seems Sony have rushed the console out but have not sorted any truly decent launch titles. Motorstorm/Resistance etc are ok, but thats it.

I agree, but it was the same with every other console released, even the 360! Just no-one really realises it. Anyway we have Metal Gear Solid 4 out in a few months, GTAIV out in a few months, Gran Turismo 5 hopefully soon, Resident Evil 5 hopefully soon, Final Fantasy XIII and many others which look good. A year from now PS3 will have started to kick off, and the REALLY good games won't be out for years yet.
Remember PS2? GTA3? Great at the time but nothing compared to the power used in GTA: San Andreas which has no loading times compared to GTA3's loading every third bit of the city, and San Andreas is about 5 times bigger!
The same will be for PS3, we will look back in 5 years' time at today's games and think "Ha! They are nothing compared to the ones out now!".

Have you ever bought a launch system before? This is common. That's why it's usually best to wait a couple years before buying a new console, but sometimes you just can't wait. New games are coming out soon.

I hope you know that more than 300 games are being released world wide by next spring right? the barrage of games starts at the end of this month with warhawk and lair, don't worry, the games are coming, such as Lair, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and clank, Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Folk lore, little big planet, MGS4, the list goes on and on..

Slightly, but launch titles are never, usually, the greatest, and then spring/summer are generally slow for games.
The run-up to the end of the year, however, is looking great, starting next week with GRAW2, then next month Heavenly sword, Warhawk, ....

Don't worry... the games will come and they are brilliant..... resident evil5 , metal gear to name but few, next gen consoles games take a while to write but boy are they worth it, the ps3 will not fail it just takes time.

i kinda am, but i knew what i was getting into when i bought it. on the bright side, it's the cheapest blu-ray player there is out there. on the down side, there's not games. i play my elite more. so my PS3 is collecting dust when I'm not playing resistance, or motor storm. it sucks because it's a fine machine, and it's just going to waste. but i knew that's what would happen when i bought it. but i went for it anyways.

Remember the release of PS2, All the games were crap, and they same thing was said. they tend to try too hard to impress, which mucks up the game
Normally after one year, the good games come out.

I don't have a PS3 yet but I don't think I'll be disappointed with it though.
