that should be fine -- i always suggest if you are not jewish to have your mom call their mom to get all the details. you don't need to go black. its not a funeral. the point is its a party to celebrate they are growing up. have fun.

The dress is perfect as long as the service is not in an Orthodox Synagogue. If it is, you will need an added wrap to cover your arms. The outfit would be considered properly "modest" by all others. Enjoy.
