Ok, this is embarrassing lol.
I have constipation (I don't get it too frequently thank the goddess lol).
I'm not a fan of laxatives and very rarely use them but this evening it has been realy bad so I had to use them.. I only took 1 though.
Does anyone know if it's ok to eat after taking one or is it better not to until the bowels have been emptied?
I tried to google this without any luck.

Thanks for your help
xx

Just carry on as normal. It shouldn't affect your eating

Laxatives should only be used when you can't take a sh@#. Your are right in what you said. Those idiots think that when they eat and take the laxative that they are getting rid of what they just consumed. What is going to come out is the digested food that is in the intestines. Lower ones in fact because that leads to the colon. Don't mess with that because it can only lead to danger. You would be surprised at how easy you can get hooked on that crap. Eat right and exercise...How much more simple can that get???

Just eat, it will be fine. If you do not like taking laxatives, I can highly recommend half a small glass or orange juice with a generous tablespoonful of olive oil mixed in. Take this before you go to bed, if you haven't been an hour after waking up the next morning, take another dose. If still nothing, take another dose before you go to bed tomorrow night, you should be going well by the next morning, without suffering any cramps or diarrhea. Good luck,

Your half right, laxatives help you go poo, but when you start running out of poo, laxatives will help you poo anything out, even stomache bile. Taking laxatives for over a week can cause dependency and this is awful, resulting to the hospital. Laxatives are just the opposite of throwing up for bulimia.

If it's a good laxative then eating not a problem, Now coughing that might be another matter altogether.

Hiya flower. Yes, you can eat as normal. The laxative will just get your bowels moving, and what you eat won't affect that. Things should be moving by morning and if you only took 1 then you shouldn't have the trots. Just enjoy what you fancy and I hope you're better soon. xx.

Doesnt matter about eating after one but in future try preventing constipation by trying to eat more fruit and veg and increasing your fibre intake ie musili , bran flakes that sort of thing and make sure you drink lots of water to help push the fibre through.

i had an addiciton to them a few years back (i do not recomend it) and the ones i used took a few hours to kick in (id take them before bed cuz if i took them in the day then i was in serious pain cuz they KILL ur tummy) but there were a few times i ate after i took them just as a precaution to make sure they did their job cuz sometimes if i didnt eat anything and took them anyway i wouldnt have to go in the morning but the second i ate food it went straight through me..its safe to eat afterwards it just means ur gunna be in the bathroom a little longer than u originally planned.. good luck and sorry about ur issue..my nephew has it and hes so cranky :(
