Well, someone asked that before:
Matthew 22:35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

"The Kingdom of heaven" was His topic of preaching. All through the 4 gospels is it specific! That God's plan was to take people OUT of the world kingdom over which is "the prince of this world"; satan, and teach them how to go into God's eternal kingdom of heaven here on earth!
Just in the book of Matthew, his topic was in the following chapters: chapter 4; 5; 7; 8; 10; 11; 13; 16; 18; 19; 20 22; 23; and 25! Then Mark, Luke and John are more full of it! This is also what the Apostles' work was, (read the book of Acts) to bring people into His kingdom and now it is our work!
I can see from much of the other listings that people are saying "love", and that is true in a sense, because God IS love, but the actual preaching message was "the kingdom of heaven". That emcompasses the "how to's and why's and what's". ALL God is about is love and therefore is His kingdom.

Jesus said He gave us a new commandment - "to love one another as he loves us" (John 13:34), thus joining the divine love of God with the brotherly love of man (which are the other two Great Commandments) as one in Christ, since He was the embodiment of God's love, true will and purpose, and eternal grace, in man.
My denomination is Christian-Buddhist -- I believe that Jesus came to fulfill both the "divine laws" given by Moses to the churched people of the Book, including Jewish Christian and Muslim, and the "natural laws" of the secular Gentiles, including Buddhist, Greeks, and other systems that are in harmony with Christian teachings, though addressed to different audiences, so that all tribes are one in Christ Jesus.

He is the exact representation of His Father. He loves every single person and came to bring back a relationship for everyone that lives or ever has or will live. All will someday thank Him for what He did for us. No sin will enter heaven but He cleared the slate for all of humanity. There is no eternal burning hell and all will be in heaven someday.

I believe that in addition to teaching about His father, God, He also taught that we should be accepting of all people, we should love all people, and we should live a good life. Whether you believe He was actually the Son of God, it's hard to deny that He did good work while He was on this earth.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. - Matthew 18:4.
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. - Mark 12:30,31.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. - John 15:13.

That God desires reconciliation with all men. And that He came to be the mediator of that Reconciliation.
He came to be the new and living way to God. To give us a way to purify ourselves from original sin and to give us a Way to fellowship with the Father again, as in the Garden. It is a difficult way but if you choose it you will be on the path to the walk in the garden with God.

Jesus taught us to hang out with prostitutes and tax collectors. Plus, he didn't much like Scribes or Pharisees.
(to the poster above, that was Paul's message, not Jesus')
