my poor mamie died last year, aged 88! she had leukemia - but wasn't clearly told or she would have worried knowing that it is like cancer...
I have a thought for her.
Bless all the ones that slip away and we cannot feel their hand anymore... it makes me weak and sad inside...

i am truly sorry for your loss....
hurting inside from feeling loss is unexplainable...
there are no magic words to lessen the pain....
just give it time..and remember all the good about
that special person.

While I am sorry to hear about you losing someone at the age of 88, with all due respect, this is not the forum to seek out a sympathy party for yourself.

And while she died of leukemia, she WAS 88 years old. To many of us, that is a long life.

I am 45 years old and I have brain cancer. I wish that I would live to see 88 years old, but I know that I won't.

Instead of having a pity party for yourself, how about honoring her instead by celebrating her long and happy life? How about volunteering for the Leukemia Society, either with your time or your money?

When you have a question to post, then feel free to come back.

I think about all those people I love who died. I talk to some of them. Little by little you do feel better. I sense they are still with me. I find this very helpful.

Honey, she will be there watching your every move, she will be there for you always. A poem I made in memory of my friend Melanie goes:

You'll always have a Guardian Angel,
Protecting you for life,
He or she will always be,
There, whether on land or sea,
So, my good friend,
Don't you fear,
Your Guardian Angel will always be near. xxx

she is still with you.... if you open your heart, you will see the signs she is sending you.

she is in a much better place now... without the pain... she would want you to live your life to the fullest and not to morn her death.... celebrate her life!
