There is sugar-free red bull (and all the other energy drinks) that often have 0 or maybe 10 calories per serving. They still aren't going to be good for you because of the loads of caffeine, but they are certainly better than the non-diet versions.

No. Energy drinks are not healthy. Besides the sugar, that much caffeine in a short amount of time. Isn't good for you. Caffeine is a diuretic,so it can dehydrate you if you're not drinking enough water along with these drinks. Other negative side effects may include: rapid heartbeat headaches restlessness insomnia stomach upset,etc.. Caffeine is a stimulant. Offers a short burst of energy, but doesn't actually fix what the problem is. The problem is that you are in fact tired. Only sleep can fix that. Caffeine in moderation such as a cup of coffee, tea or soda is fine. But too much can cause problems.

Pretty much like bill P said. Too much caffine and sugars, it will make you crash. Just drink milk, natural juice, and good old water and he should be fine. Also get good sleep. And if he crashes from sugar and caffine he may need a few days so his body will balance out again. Because his body over spent his energy and when you crash and drink more you are just over using your body more and then your bodies energy drops even lower then before. The only good drinks i think that do fine and don't make people crash I have seen are Gatorade and Vitamin water. those are good options if you like. They don't make me crash either.

Diet Rockstar or Rockstar Zero (carbs) are energy drinks without the high levels of sugars, like in Red Bull. I like Diet Rockstar and use it regularly during my gym workouts.

well, healthier would be water, juice, green tea, dilute gatorade ... not many "healthy" carbonated ones out there ... the sugar and caffeine make red bull an energy drink ... they DO make a sugar-free version ...

well there is this awesome drink i like that is kind of like an energy drink, but it gets it's caffeine and everything in red bull naturally bcuz it's green tea. It's called Enviga,it has no sugar,is full of anti-oxidants, helps people naturally lose weight, has no cholesterol, comes in many different flavors, has an artificial sweetener called amphartame(which is way different and better than splenda), is carbonated like soda, and personally, I think it tastes awesome!!!O and it only has 5 calories and this caffeine is more natural, so it doesn't really make you crash.

Crystal Light has a new drink packet out which contains some caffine. You add the packet to a bottle of water and shake. It only has 5 calories and no sugar. It has helped me kick my soda habit.
