Matthew chapter 24

29."The sun will grow dark, the moon will no longer shine, the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers in space will be driven from their courses. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky; and all the peoples of earth will weep as they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 The great trumpet will sound, and he will send out his angels to the four corners of the earth, and they will gather his chosen people from one end of the world to the other.”

THE ULTIMATE ENVIRONMENTAL CATASTROPHE
July 23, 2007
NASA's Galaxy Evolution Explorer has spotted an amazingly long comet-like tail behind a star streaking through space at supersonic speeds. The star, named Mira after the Latin word for "wonderful,"

Well thats one star. The bible passage says "stars". Therefore, it doesn't prove it. Also, the star isn't falling, it's moving. Big difference. In addition, it doesn't affect our solar system in any way. Our sun is still bright and well, sunny, and our moon still shines.

Anything else that simple logic can disprove?

Yes, and I think the reason why is simple common sense; the people of those days didn't have the science we have now, so they couldn't possibly have put it in there. I agree with you about the impregnation. There is actually a wonderful story I think you might benefit from reading as well as find enjoyment in ~ it encompasses several papers which are online and can be read for free at you leisure, but they are too long to reproduce here. Jesus's bestowal was surrounded by a great deal of mystery, and the people of those days as well up to even this minute of today's peoples still have many things to wonder about it and to discover. If we can entertain the idea that God and His Heavenly Host, as well as Jesus are truly far greater in wisdom and intellect than we lowly mortal human beings are, then we can also entertain the idea that something is amiss with the Biblical accountings of what happened. What if you could entertain the idea that some of this missing information has been provided to the people of the world today? What if you entertained the idea that God does give us answers and if we seek the truth we will find it? Anyway, I'm posting the link below in case you're interested in this explanation as a possibility for a real answer to your very real question. Every paper in the book builds upon the information given in the previous paper, so some stuff might not make sense. If you find that to be the case, you can just read the whole book, but the information you're looking for is found in the Paper 119 entitled "The Bestowals of Christ Michael" (Jesus) and in Paper 120 The Bestowal of Michael on Urantia (earth). Jesus' divinity and who he is as a "Creator Son" is imperative to know and understand before the subsequent papers from 121 onward really make any sense. Best wishes... and may find that which you seek.

Many say that the Bible is fables and metaphors. I believe in that so it depends on who interprets those passages that the meaning really comes out. So if a man who went to Theology school and was taught what everybody else that went through there then it makes it kind of hard to explain gosh im all twisted up here. Geez what I do know is that the world is NOT coming to an end it simply is going to go through a very radical change. During this change, I have heard and/or read, that many people will not survive but go up to heaven or the astral world and then get caught up so that they maybe leveled with us here on earth. Those left on earth mean that they are high in a spiritual level. So I wouldn't focus so much on church and rather on lots of other things. Such as metaphysics, meditation, spirituality (not spiritism), and the power of the mind

The sun has not gone dark and shows no sign of doing so.

The moon is still being illuminated by the sun, see above, and so still shines.

Show me where a star is actually falling to Earth? The closes one is 4.2 light years away.

The fact that you are mixing the two sites that you link to:
THE ULTIMATE ENVIRONMENTAL CATASTROPHE
being about NEO impacts.

and Mira, which has no chance of ever impacting or effecting the Earth and so has nothing to do with the title you place above it.

says much about you.

This shows you to be nothing but a pathetic liar.

Unless you would like to post some facts to dispute this, if you can.

There are so many wonders to be discovered. This is why scientists don't mind if their theories are found to be wrong, because it's not about being right, it's about knowledge. What a fantastic discovery. As for this having anything to do with the coming of the Son of Man, I see no correlation whatsoever. But the discovery of Mira is wonderful! I can't wait for them to find out more.

If you bothered to "read" the NASA news blurb, you would "see" that astronomers have been watching this star for well over 400 years (that is actually recorded...prior to that, who knows how long it has been tracked by ancient skywatchers)

Sooooo, is the rapture you're dying to experience just a little bit late? Or are you chalking up multiple observation of natural phenomena as "proof" of some biblical blather?

Supersonic speeds, eh? So we know it's going at least over 761 mph. So, the nearest star to Earth is Proxima Centauri which is 4.3 light years away. Even if this "star" traveling at "super sonic speed" were that close, at the speed of sound it would take about 33.2 billion years to get to us. At Mach 1000 it would still take 33 million years to get here. I guess I'm not too worried.

All stars are moving very fast. But I hope you don't think that means they are falling to Earth. Our own sun is moving around the Milky Way at "supersonic" speeds.

Maybe the bible was a real first attempt at an actual science book. Only thing is they couldn't explain it with the the words we use these days...Those were the best explanations they could come up with, possessing the knowledge they did at the time.

Why do you want so badly for the world to end? It seems to be a pathological obsession with you. You scour ancient, ambiguous texts for anything that could remotely be connected with something happening in this other place called the real world and then all of a sudden it's proof the world is ending. Your posts are so far-flung that I'm beginning to suspect that you've been in character this whole time. Please, RELAX.

I haven't checked your links or anything. I just noticed that you said this sun is traveling at "supersonic" speed.

In terms of travelling through space, supersonic is Incredibly, Fantastically, Unimaginably, almost might as well be going backwards,

slow.

It looks like I'm the first, it said zero when i started, so I'm just giving you a chance to correct that.
