yes that works. What you do is make the jello like you are making gigglers and don't pour all the jello into the cake just put a little bit into each hole. You can make the holes about 2-3 inches apart.

I easily have in no way made a jello poke cake yet I easily have made a Pudding poke cake. Whip up on the spot pudding and placed it interior the poked holes. undecided what a jello cake might style like.

Yep, Jello Poke Cake.
Make sure you cool the cake before you put the jello in it.
You add less water to the jello mix too, I think.
I always put cool whip on top after it is cooled.
