Remember, "god" is nothing more than a nonsense word made up by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet understand.

Additionally, you need to realize that religion is a disease of the mind, born of fear, which has done nothing but bring untold misery down upon the human race.

When Jesus was on earth, he performed many miracles, including healing the sick. Remember, he was created in God's image, so what Jesus does is what God would do as well. These examples can be found the gospels, especially in Matthew.

And in the future, God promises that he will heal the sick. Isaiah 33:24 - "And no resident will say: “I am sick.” The people that are dwelling in [the land] will be those pardoned for their error."

Isn't that a wonderful hope?

most of these answers your ganna get here are mainly atheist answers. so here's a Christian's point of view.

God does heal the sick. He's been healing the sick ever since sickness entered the world. If you look closely, you'll see miracles happening everyday that people just look over as mere coincidences.

In the news some time ago, there was this little baby who died in the hospital right after being born. The mother prayed over the baby and left the room. when she came back, her baby lived.

There has been cases in hospitals where people have been told they have cancer and that they have only six months to live, but then the tumors went away and their disappearances have been a mystery every since.

Not only physical sickness, but God has healed people of emotional sickness (such as depression) and mental sickness. God has given man the ability to do all this, but man (who are mainly non-believers) take all the credit.

Long story short, God does heal the sick. Those who have faith and those who don't.

Yes.

If you ask then God may grant it.

Their are many different ways. Ex. God allowed Jesus to heal the sick. So christians call him God. Well If I had a headache & had a painkiller, & the pain had gone. Does This mean the painkiller is God. No.

Rather God will give some of his miracles to people or objects. Read about the prophets they all had miracles, Jesus is just another man in over 100,000 prophets who had miracles..

Yes, for example I was born in 1956 diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Hydro cephalic, and 2 different spinal disorders. The doctors said I would not live past age 2. I would also, according to them, never develop mentally. I am now 51 and have an IQ just below 150. The reason is that my Grandmother and my Great Grandfather were people that believed in the Power of Prayer.

Remember, healing can be more than physical. There are also mental and emotional healing. God provides for all sorts of healing.

I have known people with miracle healings from the living God.

Sometimes, the healings are immediate.

Sometimes, they (the sick) go through a process.

I love it when the doctors can't explain it, but it happens none-the-less. It's a God thing and He doesn't have to explain it.

God still heals!

Isaiah and Peter both tell us, "by His stripes, we are healed." We only need to ask.

Absolutely, There are literally thousands of stories all across the internet about the Power of prayer and how God heals the sick.

People that are diagnosed with cancer and their life expectancy is 3 to 6 months, within a short amount of time, the cancer has dissapeared and they live long successful lives.

God is very much among us.

Have you ever been healed when you are sick? It is God's work.

Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

Studies have clearly shown that prayer has no effect.

If some god out there is healing the sick he has a really weird selection criteria. Just like it was totally random!

He would definitely appear to have a grudge against amputees and other (to us) incurable diseases and afflictions.

God heals the sick indeed

There are no documented cases of god healing the sick. That's one of the reasons rational people understand that anyone who thinks god heals the sick is brainwashed.
