I go to a little Congregational UCC church in a town of 950 people, though there are not that many in our church, only about 200.
Last year we voted to accept homosexuals.
It is a policy of Congregational churches to accept people of any kind.
The synod lets individual churches make their own policies though.

Well, since I am Pagan, my home (or should I say 'yard') is my church.
Being gay was accepted long before Christianity came along and said it was bad. Sex isn't bad, and neither is love- which is why Pagans don't segregate!
We believe everyone is entitled to act on their natural born instincts, not force themselves to change because a group of men decided it was wrong.
We judge people on whether or not they are "good" people. That's it, plain and simple. Who you have sex with doesn't make a person good or bad any more than saying people who eat pickles are bad and those who don't are good!
My ancestors responded to being burned alive at the stake infront of their children, by taking their "beliefs/church" underground- where we still are today! Yippee:)

My church is evangelist. We don't believe in homosexuality and believe it is wrong. No we don't go around with signs saying 'kill the gays' or blame gay people for acts of god. If this makes me sound homophobic then i'm sorry. I just don't see how the same god who repeatedly condemns homosexuality in the bible would be ok with gay people in churches. That makes christianity seem like a joke and kind of hyprocritical. It seems like a lot of people want to change the ideas of the bible so that it can be more suited to these times that we are living in. No, I don't hate homosexuals but i feel uncomfortable with them being in churches, i'm sorry but thats my opinion.

I know that Jehovah's Witnesses do not hate gay people, but they do not allow that kind of behavior in the organization. People will often think that is hateful, but they are only following God's rules in the Bible.
Think about it. If people followed half of the things in the Bible, there wouldn't be so many people with problems in the world.

They are most welcome in the Catholic Church. These individuals are considered persons with homosexual tendencies, not homosexuals. Whether you act on those tendencies is what we call sin. The person is just as useful, valuable and loved in the eyes of God and the Church.
God Bless

Well... as a society, my religious forebears detested homosexuality. Many people have theorized that it was viewed as a sign of weakness or femininity in men.
Honestly, though, there's nothing in the religion against it.

I am a Christian and I accept people for who they are, who am I to judge?
My pastor just said last night we should turn no one away . . .that when we start thinking we know who God wants and who He doesn't then we are the ones in the wrong.
In the Bible God used even a prostitute and Cornelius who at the time was not even a believer to do His will. . . .I thought our God wasn't supposed to change. . . .

Bright Blessings to you!
I am Wiccan and I do not attend a formal church but I accept all people. I believe all people deserve respect - we are all part of humanity.

Deity resides in all living things.
Therefore all living things deserve to be treated accordingly.

All people are welcomed to attend our services and have their choice of seats. From the pulpit they will hear of the heinousness of sin. They will particularly hear of their need to repent from scandalous sins (adultery, sodomy, drunkenness, etc...) and will hear a call for the pulpit to "repent and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ."
