Diet Coke is sweetened with Aspartame, and Coke Zero is sweetened with Splenda.

Taste due to different sweeteners. Coke Zero tastes more like Coca-Cola classic than Diet coke.

Diet Coke has that nasty "diet coke" flavor. Coke Zero tastes like Original Coke, but w/ aspartame.

If they'd make Coke Zero out of Splenda, I think they could corner the market on diet drinks b/c it would be nearly indiscernable from Original Coke.
