My wife makes a lobster pot full of sauce. I have not bought jarred sauce in 7 years because of this.

We freeze it and never have had a problem.

It's a very good idea to freeze the sauce. Also, if you have already put the sauce on your spaghetti you can freeze the entire batch in a casserole dish. Once frozen dip it in some warm water. Just enough to release it from the dish. Then wrap the frozen food well and keep frozen. This way your dish isn't in the freezer when you want it for other purposes. But when you are ready to thaw your spaghetti all you need to do is unwrap it and place it back into the dish it was originally frozen in and dinner is ready to defrost.

Great idea. I did it several years ago when we had a bumper crop of tomatoes. I made the sauce like I usually do, except without the meat. Then I put it into freezer bags of the right size. It kept for several months.

Sure, go ahead and freeze. We do it all the time. You can freeze in containers or freezer bags. Just make sure you mark the container with the date because you'll want to use it in 3-4 months.

It is a perfectly good idea to freeze any leftover spaghetti sauce you have. just put it in an airtight container and will be fine for the next time you need it.

I Guess it would be ok,No different than freezing vegetable soup.I am canning mine.I think canning is alot better than freezing because The Jar is just enough for a batch of spaghetti or Johnny marzeti.

An excellent idea! You can make a big batch of spaghetti sauce...cool it down and package servings in ziploc bags or containers. Whenever you need it, you pull out the amount you need. How convenient!

It's totally good to freeze it. It's great for those nights where you don't feel like slaving over the stove. Plus, it doesn't go to waste.

There's no reason not to. I have frozen hot dog sauce before and it's very similar.
