You must be a legal resident of the US. Which state depends upon you.

No problem. We have "Foreign Nationals" in the US Military. Just talk to a Recruiter. I enlisted from Franfurt Germany at the only European Navy Recruiting station. It took 3 months bu it should be quicker now. If you don't have one locally, check the web for online assistance.
"can they help me get a green card if I sign up?" On this, I don't know. I have heard of Phillipino Nationals serving until retirement without choosing to become a US Citizen.

You'd need to convert your student visa to a residential one. Which isn't that hard if the stated reason is enlistment in the Armed Forces. Your best bet is to speak with a recruiter. Serving does not fast track citizenship, you still need to go through all the steps, but it makes the background check a little easier.

A am glad to here of your interest. Contact the US State department and ask them about your interest. If you are here in the US, talk to a local recruiter and they will set you in the right direction, God bless and good luck.

Yes, I'm not sure as to the process. But I've known many many soldiers from Peru, India, Nigeria, that worked toward and recieved their citizenship while in the Army.

Sorry but no! You have to be a full time citizen in order to do that! It's like voting for the US president if you're not a full citizen!
