No! If you have FAITH in GOD, and you believe that JESUS was the SON of GOD, then as GOD is omnicient then HE speaks ALL languages. So, with that knowledge, PRAY in any language through JESUS' name and your prayers will be heard.
Now answers to prayer is another part of the question, isn't it? We who believe in the OMNIPOTENCE of GOD, know that HE will answer our prayers. BUT we must pray with faith and the understanding that we must be careful as well.

Let me get this straight - if I don't pray in the language that Jesus spoke and that I don't know, I'm not really praying?
Why should I pray in Aramaic? God understands English!!!

Jesus only spoke Aramaic. Every Christian prays in his/her first language.

The human race only had one language up until the time that wicked Nimrod attempted to build the Tower of Babel. To prevent the work from continuing because He wanted humans to spread out over the earth instead of being centralised in one spot, God caused many of the workers to speak a different language. With many of the workers speaking deferring languages, this confused the workers and they could no longer cooperate to build the tower as they could not understand each other.
So, since God created the languages, originally, and He created the human brain that has evolved the human tongue since then, he understands all human languages. He doesn't have physical limitations like we humans do. :)
However, more to the point, the Bible tells us that God can read our heart, knowing what we want to say in prayer, even when we don't understand our problem or even know what to ask for. It says at Romans 8:26,27: "In like manner the spirit also joins in with help for our weakness; for the problem of what we should pray for as we need to we do not know, but the spirit itself pleads for us with groanings unuttered. Yet he who searches the hearts knows what the meaning of the spirit is, because it is pleading in accord with God for holy ones."
Isn't that nice to know that you will always be understood by God when you pray? :)

Nope, and whether Jesus spoke it or not is irrelevant.
And actually, Jesus would have spoken Hebrew in the Temple, and Greek everywhere else. By the 1st century A.D., most people in Israel spoke Koine Greek. It was the common language.
I don't speak Hebrew or Greek, either, but I'm learning.
But what, exactly, is your point? Not saying this to be rude. Picture my avatar asking it with a small smile on her face. :-)

He hears you in whatever language you speak.
How about you, are you interested in Christianity? Jesus is the way to eternal life in heaven with God. Will you be ready to meet your maker when your number is called?
I am open for conversation if you want to chat about any of this. - Redeemed

Being the son of God, don't you think that he would be able to understand all languages?
