If I took Adderall without a prescription a few days ago, will it show up on a drug test? I'm starting a new job, and I may be required to take a drug test. I'm worried that I won't be hired.
Please don't just guess and say yes or no, I'm looking for someone who actually knows. Thanks.

I also don't need lectures about how I shouldn't be taking prescription drugs without a doctor telling me to. I know what I did was wrong, I took the drug so I could study for a test, it didn't work, and now I regret what I have done.

depends on what they test for. But it will definately show up as an amphetamine. (speed, meth ect.) If you have a prescription they can't not hire you because of that. You can sue them if they don't. If your really worried about don't take it for 3 days and drink a lot water and cranberry juice. amphetamines only stay in your body for 3 days or so. Also you have a right to privacy. If you tell the drug testing company what you take and who your doctor is; they will verify it. They may or may not have to tell your employer. read up on hippa rules.

YES! It will show up as an Amphetamine, This is what NASCAR driver Jeremy mayfield is on fighting the courts about now. He is also on it and failed a drug test. If you are on this drug because a DR put you on it then take the bottle with you and show them. You will be fine, if it is not your meds then you are a junkie and you should fail and after you do you should go seek help for your speed addiction and RX drug abuse.

Yes. Amphetamines are a common drug of abuse, as you know since you've done it, so they're a standard part of even the most basic drug screens. Just because it was made by a major manufacturer does not make Adderall substantially different from other amphetamines like crystal meth.

I think you'll be ok- but, it's wise to not take meds that don't belong to you. Not only if you will be tested for a job but, the side effects could be harmful/deadly...
