I don't know if it would help with over-population, but it would definitely boost the average IQ of the human population.

The Rapture (although I do not think it will involve as many people as you think) and the world war that follows which will kill 1/3 of mankind (2 Billion people) will go a very long way to curbing over-population.
The pending judgment of the planet is not a pleasant thought.
Sure, the taking up of the saints to meet Jesus in the air (2 Thes) is a great thing. But when Jesus returns to earth and sets foot on the ground, it will be a horrible day for the living.

Oh, I've got the solution to over population. No body wants to hear it, but I've got it. It'll solve over-population, the Social Security crisis, and World Hunger.
Eat the Elderly. I'll just let the genius of that sink in a bit.

I don't know about that, though it *would* help.
Maybe if there was a Hindu and a Buddhist rapture *with* the Christian one, then we'd be good. But just xtian? Probably not...
You've got to factor in India and China, y'know? Over 1 billion strong in BOTH countries.

I don't know about overpopulation but if it does happen (and don't hold your breath folks) the collective IQ of the human race will suddenly jump up a few dozen points.
