My bf had to go to the doctors to get a sports phyiscal. I went with because he was making a huge deal over it. Usually they do some quick stuff at the school but they cancelled it this year so he had to go to the doctors. I guess he hates going to hosipitals and doctor offices. The past 2 nights he has been restless hardly sleeping. Then last night he didnt eat dinner and didnt eat breakfeast. We went to the doctors today and while in the waiting room he wouldnt sit still. He would get up and pace and squirm in his seat. He became real pale. ( Even pale for a white guy). Then when he was done he was like lets get the hell out of here and he literaly dragged me out of the office. Hes taking me out to dinner tonight to celbrate that he never has to go back to the doctors. He told me hes never going back. He doesnt need to hear how long he has left to live he'd rather just one day get sick an die a couple days later. Is this normal for adults to be scared of the doctors?

It's not usual for someone to be that scared of going to a doctor visit. I have a sneaking suspicion that he wasn't scared of the doctor, per se, but had a particular concern that he was worried about. He's probably celebrating that nothing is wrong.

A 21 year old doesn't usually need to get physicals. If it was for a sport, I understand, but why would he be so scared of that? He's been through that before, right? So, I think there is a chance he TOLD you it was a sports physical but really he was being tested for something.

Some people get nervuous if they are going to have any type of procedure done, however getting that worked up over a phyiscal is very odd. I wonder what the real reason he gets that worked up. You will have to find out and email all of us.

I think so. I think your friend needs some therapist help. Also it sounds like he got bad news from what he said about not hearing how long he's going to live. I suggest u ask his doctor about it telling him the comment then if the doc doesn't say anything keep bugging this friend. Also one of his relatives might have had cancer.

Yes, most men are natural born sissy's when it comes to going to the doc. for an exam.. It's because a men's physical they have to have the doc. see them nude and turn/cough procedure while the doctor feels their testicals.. Really a 2 sec. exam compared to what women have to go through their whole lives and getting various exams... Just have your bf attend one of YOUR pap smears, mamograms or better yet if/when you decide to have children.. It will put things in a whole new perspective ! When I was young/dating my now husband he wanted me to go on birth control so I said fine but, you are paying for the exam and we're splitting the cost of the pills per month.. He said "fine" he accompanied me to the appt. and when it was time for my exam as soon as the doctor explained to him what was going to happen with the diagram/speculum he was outta there... I won.. Just recently my husband got a vasectomy and boy what a production that was.. He hyperventilated on the way home from his consultation.. No one did anything to him but, exam his testicals ! He was restless the day before and a total wuss for 2 weeks after the exam.. MOST men recover within acouple days it's been a bit over a month and he's still whiney ! So yeah, get used to it.... Good luck

absolutely. but you need to just reassure him & ease him back into the process of going to dr's. eventually he'll have to go for something, plus it's a good idea to go once a year. my husband is the same way. he HATES the dr's office. he only goes if he's really sick- otherwise he avoids it. it was hell for him when our daughters were born because he had to stay in the hospital for a few day. just remind your man that it is a life necessity & he'll get thru it okay, with your help.

It probably has to do with a past experience. Maybe he had someone close to him die a long painful, doctor filled death in the hospital.
Ask him about it, maybe you can help him overcome whatever he has.

You’re everyday. perhaps no longer so open minded. in case you hit upon the females appealing purely bodily that is a topic. It’s good to get to be responsive to the guy and be responsive to what you desire. What hobbies you? what style of woman do you desire on your life? You gained’t discover the single in case you’re caught on 5 ladies you cherished. and verify out to no longer tell them “i such as you” basic. some ladies don’t like adult men to be too stupid, in spite of the actuality that they look good. it may push them away. Be extra of a guy. in case you meet one female which you relatively like, don’t pass too quickly. enable her communicate approximately herself yet you additionally must communicate approximately you, your likes, and possibilities. convey out your traits yet don’t sound smug. Take some time and don’t call her each and every 2 hours, if she’s on your suggestions 24/ /7. wish it helps. good luck!

Everyone has their fears and you should accept that. That is like asking if human beings should be afraid of vomit or vomitting.
They shouldn't but they are and everyone should just accept that.
