1.) It's "atheist", Einstein.
2.) "Theism" is a system of belief regarding a god or gods; so someone without that system of beliefs is an "atheist".
3.) Whether or not someone believes in something does absolutely NOTHING for the veracity of it. You believed in Santa Claus at one time, right?
4.) Some of us call ourselves by different names: "Naturalists", "Freethinkers", "Brights", etc.

You are such a moron. Where the hell is the logic in that? Are you so damn idiotic that you can't see the stupidity of that question? This question has been asked many times and each time the person asking it has been completely beat down, even by other Christians. With questions like this you just make all religious people look like fools.

Actually, atheists were named by theists, based on divine enlightenment no doubt. Maybe you would prefer they be called untheists.
But really, the "a" indicates a negation of the theist portion of the word, meaning they don't believe in a god.
The word has always simply meant "one who denies the existence of god."
Sorry, your conclusion is just wrong logically as well as philologically. Is your theology similarly illogical?

Since there is at LEAST an IDEA of God, then yes, there is someone that doesn't believe in the idea of God, and therefore there doesn't HAVE to be God.
Your argument is invalid.
I don't believe that when I jump I'll land on the moon. Does that mean that there HAS to be someone that will jump and land on the moon?

Trust me, we wish we didn't have to use that label. In societies where the majority are deluded though, we must distinguish ourselves in some way.
Let me ask you something. Why do you think you are called an apastist? You wouldn't be called an apastist unless there was a flying spaghetti monster, would you? Therefore, there is a flying spaghetti monster.

I can tell you this much. I have recently proven, using Yahoo answers, that some Christians blindly would eat their own poo, if they where commanded to do so. This indicates that much of Christianity rests on a blind belief, which turns people into slaves. "If God says - then I do so..."
THAT is how people can become suicide bombers, if anyone should wonder about it. So you see - it is not only Muslims that have this feature - it is ALL religions.
And you should really see this:

Wait, what? Are you daft?
An atheist believes there is no god.....but if there would be concrete scientific evidence to support god.....evidence that can be tested over and over again......then most atheists would say there is a god, atleast one of them.
You do realize you make no sense right?

No, if there was not a god, I would not believe in one for no reason, hence the reason I am called an atheist.
