Had a dream that I was standing in a large group of people at the foot of a small hill. On the hill was a black horse rearing up, saying "and at the end of time, the dead will inherit the earth". Then somebody to my side said "Don't worry, they're already here".
Stopped me from sleeping for 2 nights!

im a bit of a pessimist so this sounds like a dream i would have...
in my opinion, the black horse represents evil/death/corruption/greed...and most pessimists believe that the world will be taken over with greed and corruption...so this horse of greed is taking over the world(standing on a hill) and stating that those that are powerful, greedy, corrupt(the dead) will rise in power(inherit the earth)...their moral souls being dead and no sympathy for the weak and kind

There seems to be an assumption that your dream has some Christian symbolic content. I'm not sure. You are the one best placed to know that.
The hill may have represented a barrow mound, an ancestral burial place. The horse could have been an oracle.
Two things I would say to you:
1: If the dead inherit the earth and "they" are already "here", then you and the person who spoke with you and perhaps the crowd you were with represent the living. If the dead inherit the earth what do the living inherit?
2: Do not be afraid.

I think it is a foreshadowing,...the day of the harvest when the dead shall arise and be judged...as your place in judgment you will be among the meek who shall inherit the earth...I suppose you may be a decent guy...the people you were standing with are among you and were also before the angel of the lord or (the horse) "who judges all men according to their deeds"...the small hill is the Kingdom of God. "don't worry they are already here" may be talking about the dead and the end of time, but at that time it will be as though there is nothing left you can do, because its already happened and that is the fear that you have" Now is the time to realize that time will escape us and we all shall transition from this life...what do you want to do today? Claim the blood of the lamb over your life, because although you may inherit the earth your goal should be to inherit the kingdom of God. Good people need Jesus' sacrafice of atonement to purchase their souls too. All have fallen short and all have sinned, but it is by Gods purchase that we are redeemed not by trying our best to be good. This is a wake up call on your life...Seize the day and whatever you do, do it for God and let Him lead you. Claim the blood!

Small hill represents a elevated place of authority. Black horse is usually associated with death. The statement the horse made points to Satan kingdom where those who are seperated from Christ are considered dead. There are no dead people in Christ only the living. The statement mentioned to you by the person at your side points to those who are spiritually dead and already physically living on the earth. Those who are spiritually dead are already enjoying and living out there time now, but at the end it will be God's people who are living who will inherit the earth. I hope that made some kind of sense.

Are you my long lost twin? I've been having the exact same dream! As we all know, when the world ends, we will all be dead, and by being the dead, we will still have the earth, whatever the hell that means. This horse was simply stating a fact.
The person at your side stated a fact as well, as there are already dead people on Earth, such as our dearly departed. Hence "Don't worry, they're already here."

I would see that with something to do with your belief in the after-life, and considering if there actually is one.
I know there is... Well, it is more of a 'faith', a strong faith that an after-life exists. It is very comforting.
Your sub-conscious is trying to communicate with you!
Maybe at a lower level you feel very uneasy about the subject of death, and do not want there to be no after life, and for the world to be a place where "the dead inherit the earth." Instead, you want an after-life. Otherwise it would have been you that replied to the speaking horse.
Aren't dreams fun. lol

OK. I am not so maudlin or ethereal as the others. Standing at the foot of the small hill denotes a recent failure. Perhaps you tried to hide this fact "in a crowd" or there were others involved in this failure. The dark horse is a sign of a relationship (possibly an important one). Maybe you don't want this person to know of the failure or you are afraid the relationship will "die" because of the failure. Good luck. I hope I helped.

You came across something related to a powerful personality in your life, who is already dead. You didn’t actively notice this; it escaped your conscious mind. But your subconscious did register your encounter with this dead person's "remains” that even now could cause powerful emotions in your subconscious. Hence the dream. If you want to escape such dreams in future, try to figure out who this dead man is and how he/she is having such powerful effect on you. Once you are through, such encounters will not cause dreams. The encounter I am talking about can be as simple as hearing a favorite phrase of this dead person during a general talk with somebody else

Dreams are made up of things that happen in your life. Just small snip-its of this or that. That day you could have see something on TV about horses, and talked to someone or seen something about the end of time. It scrabbled up and when you slept it came out like that. "the meek shall inherit the earth" you my have seen something, or read something, or was talking to someone about the bible, death, inheritance, something. It managed to come out like that. I wouldn't worry about it, dreams are your way of clearing your subconscious. If we didn't have dreams to help toss out the junk our brains store daily we would go nuts. Take care and get some sleep.

You must be a pretty spiritual person because I think what we have here is not a dream, but a vision of God. It might mean that you are hanging out with the wrong people(maybe the church you go to or friend you are hanging out with). I think God will reveal to you what this vision means in time(probably soon) and when he does it will be like someone turned on a light switch!
