I'd say that your comments in/below your question show that you really haven't thought about your questions in the tag/question line.
Are you fully versed in all religions and beliefs or are you ignorant? Do you just ask and not listen or only ask those that will give the answer you want? Are you seeking the truth (whatever that is and how will you know when you have found it), or do you just seek the pieces of truth that you wish to find?

I say that if God is NOT the Almighty Creator of all things who sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to this earth so that ALL human kind could have an opportunity to have a personal relationship with Him, receive His Holy Spirit, and be saved from eternal death, then those who believe otherwise no matter what religion has claimed him to be the same are utterly deceived.

Truth? What truth. Asking is not the only way to find answers. Everyone has their own answer. No one has an identical experience. The environment we are born into; the culture in which we develop; family structural composition; exposure to cultural ritual and taboo, and acceptance of these practices; intelligence observation, assessment, and the need to find ones individual answers; rejection of various values and practices honored by family and culture; individual choice focused on exposing ones self to alternative philosophies; the epiphany that the more one learns the more one seeks to learn. My truth is mine.

Your initial question and the subsequent comments do not flow together, the subjects are different.
To answer your initial question, no, it's not wrong to seek the truth. It's RIGHT to seek the truth, and ask questions, and challenge the status quo, etc. God gave us minds, we are to use them to the best of our ability.

To find the truth you have to study many different authors and decide which one has the truth in it.
Studying from only one view point does not bring knowledge, but extremism.
Hope this helps!
Peace be with you!

Grace(not law) unto you, and peace(not division),
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus-->Christ.
Ignore-ant, according to Solomon, is as if to
ignore God & Son work hitherto the Sabbath,
work 24/7 to "us-ward": no them vs them at all.
Ignorance is not bliss, not in the end of it: Law.
All who sailed the Titanic had a blissful time,
til their ignorance about law turned to PANIC.
When it comes to two sorts of "knowledge",
Knowledge of the Law; Knowledge about the Law,
all such Law Law knowledge "shall vanish": 1Cor 13:8.
As to lack of wisdom, the firstly pure sort,
which is notably also firstly peace-able,
of seven things grace notably is James 3
if you lack that, then "ask God": James 1;
For if you ask Yahoos, you get earthy wisdom,
which is also notably both sensual and devil-ish.
Two Gods: Law vs Grace are for "COMPARING":
Law: "I will forsake you"
Grace: "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee"
Mix tu are of contrarys: oxymorons can't co-exist in peace;
But Christ is our peace who hath abolished the law(enmity).
Matthew 22:36-40 Law Law? Romans 8:2 Law vs Law?
"Another law" makes ppl feel "wretched" and "forsaken".
Eg: it's how 800,000 USA soldiers with PTSD now feel,
after taste touch handle GWB's "rod of iron" rule of law.
Col 2: 2-22 touch not, taste not, handle not such law law.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus-->Christ with you-->all. Amen.
