OK, Me & 2 guys (who I don't know in real life) walked into this building & was supposed to pick up a package. The lady @ the desk told us to go upstairs. The escalators were the longest ones I've ever seen! They went a looong way up & they were faster than usual.Only 2 of us went up.When we were to the top, it looked like this chick was following us.It appeared that she wanted the same package too.The person who we were looking for w/the package was going into an elavator so I ran to the elevator & the chick ran right after me! Both of us got into the elavator but the guy I came up with didn't.Then we started arguing & yelling @ each other, then we stopped because the elavator was making weird sounds. It was heading the opposite direction (up) & going extremely fast.I started to feel pressure in my ears then every1 was floating.I dunno how, but I think the elevator was in space. The elavator tore apart under pressure & the 3 of us floated for a second, then started plummeting towards earth

I'm curious to know what was actually inside the package.
Because the package was never opened or revealed, I'm thinking it has something to do information or a secret being withheld from you - you have the box the object comes in, but not the actual object. Hmm. The box with the unknown is the object of desire to the other person, but then the package became immaterial in the face of the danger of being in the elevator...
I think it starts with you placing high value on a perception of future value of 'something', and you want it based upon its future value, for instance, a specific college degree, a specific job salary, or a specific responsibility involving information you are not privvy to. You are taking the correct steps to obtain this specific 'something' in real life based on your following the directions of the lady at the desk in your dreams, and all is well, until the 'something' is perceived to be more desirable by someone else. Suddenly you feel the fear of the 'something' being taken away from you, and you must protect the 'something' from that unknown, and your escape route went all to heck.
The other girl in the dream is yourself. She is your opposite, your 'yang' to your yin. She is you desiring the same 'something', but she is the one trying to talk you out of it. And so you stubbornly try to protect that 'something', even fighting for it, even suffering danger for it - BUT the 'something' in the dream is unrevealed. Do you have a habit of stubbornly clinging and fighting for a certain belief? Are you trying to follow a specific career only because of a perceived high salary? Are you trying to go to a certain school only because they have a record of high achievers (or trying to send your kids to a certain private school because they have high test scores?) The other guys in the dream are the people who agree with your value of the perceived who drop out of the pursuit or protection of the 'something' when the going gets tough. You hung on to the 'something', tried to protect it even when your other you, your conscience or true reason, was trying to talk you out of it, and stubbornly tried to 'get there' more quickly by riding the elevator in an attempt to 'get to the top', and it got out of control in the end.
SO.
By focusing on the perceived value rather than the actual value, you got into some trouble. You tried to talk yourself out of it and failed.
NEXT TIME focus on the actual value, not the perceived value. In the end of your dream, the box was still, well, a box. It's not the box that is valuable, it's what's inside that is worth more. Cardboard boxes themselves are replaceable AND refillable! Next time, even if you can do this in your dream, open the box and find out what's inside that is so valuable you are willing to risk everything for it, and THEN decrease its perceived value by determining if it is replaceable. By devaluing that 'something', whatever it is in your real life, you may gain the sense not to risk everything for what in the end was, just a box, or an empty promise.
The lake you landed in means you came out of that situation safely, but this was a warning to you to stop being so stubborn in valuing empty promises for whatever your reasons. One more aspect is a bit of selfishness, the 'something' in the box is yours and your responsibility - being unwilling to share anything makes it so much harder to give up, but in the end there was no reward, only problems. By being willing to share the perceived value of the 'something', your 'dream' (your perceived goal) would have had a different outcome.
Make it okay to let go.
Good luck.

According to Dreamcrowd:

To see a building in your dream, represents the self and the body. How high you are in the building indicates a rising level of understanding or awareness. If you are in the lower levels of the building, then it refers to more primal attitudes and/or sexuality. To see a building in ruins or damaged, indicates that your approach toward a situation or relationship is all wrong. You need to change. Your own self-image may have suffered and taken some blow. To dream that you or someone fall off a building, suggests that you are descending into the realm of unconscious. You are learning about and acknowledging aspects of your unconscious. Alternatively, it symbolizes your fear of not being able to complete or succeeding in a task. See also Falling in our Common Dream Themes section.

To see a female in your dream, represents nurturance, passivity, caring nature, and love. It refers to your own female aspects or may also represent your mother. Alternatively, it may indicate temptation and guilt. If you know the female, then it may symbolize the concerns and feelings you have about her. To see an old woman in your dream, indicates aging and growing old. To see a group of women talking in your dream, refers to some gossip. To see a pregnant women in your dream, symbolizes abundant wealth. See also: Woman.

You feel like you are in competition with other women for whatever you are looking for. Guys? Whatever the package represents? (could be success of money or prestige). It is interesting that these two guys are are supposed to be helping you dropped out of the competition, and left you fighting it out with this chick. And this competition with this other woman could destroy you, as you found out in the dream.
