A lie repeated often can sometimes be believed - however, it never becomes the truth.

Yes, there are some religions that use repetition as a means to reinforce - repetitive prayers, chanting, mantras, etc. We as a society use repetition to reinforce - take a look at school children - they are drilled over and over again on their multiplication tables or the alphabet.

No, repetitive lies are not the reason for so many religions. The reason for so many religions is man's attempt to reach God.

Here's a thought for you - all religions in the world are man's attempt to reach God, godhood, Nirvana, etc., through good works - being good enough to be allowed into heaven, bliss, etc. All except Christianity which is God reaching down to humanity and offering a free gift. Interesting?

I was going to say, yes, look at religion. But it goes for many other things too. You convince someone of something for long enough and they will believe it, along with everyone else when they hear the gossip.
And you know how gossip spreads. If i was to spread the rumour that i'd won the lottery it'd spread like wild fire and just about everyone's attitude towards me would change.

Hello,

Dr. Joseph Geobbles, Hitler's minister of propoganda coined that phrase. I think he had national socialism and political systems in mind and was dealing with material facts; not theology and metaphysics which is harder to get a grip on.

If a million people say a stupid thing it is STILL a stupid thing.

But great truths are WORTH repeating. I never tire of telling how Y'Shua liberated me...and that was over 45 years ago!!
