God does not have human characters. God cannot be defined by any human words. He cannot be limited in any way. But so that humans can understand the scriptures, human emotions/words are used. This should not be mistaken with God having emotions. This is like trying to 'determine' the tens digit of infinity.

God has no concern with us unless we have with Him. He in normal cases, does His duty only ie, notes down the concerns of our attachments and keeps an account of those, without letting us know.
He doesn't want us to praise Him. He only expects us to understand Him under the guidance of a real saint. He does it because He knows that we are searching for such a happiness which when comes, should remain with us for ever.
This kind of happiness is not possible in this materialistic (Mayic) world. So he sends saints into this world for us to know the real science.
We get punished or rewarded according to Karmas that we perform. Karmas mean, concerns of the attachments of the heart. It has nothing to do with our physical acts. When we don't do any thing good or bad (by heart), we are unattached and that is the position when we start thinking about Him. This position can be attained only when we surrender to a real saint.

GOD exists or not, it is not necessary .I
Suppose you have a kniefe in your hand: if you use it for cutting fruits it is OK:
If you try to cut others it is bad:
there all things available for a human
he ahs to think and act in a perfect way without distrubing and harming other fellow human:
if he do good he will be happy and good things will happen
if he do wrong , unhappy and bad things will occur:
this is universal nature
Why we should pull the GOD or create GOD for our good and evils???
If there is GOD or no GOD nothing will happen because of that:
you will get what you do

We possess some of God's characteristics, not the other way around. For example, we have the capacity to love. God is love, we got it from Him. I believe God is happy when someone comes to His Son; sad when someone is hurting; angry when people hurt His children, etc. I believe He disciplines His children just as good parents discipline their own children. The Bible says He expects us to only worship and praise Him; that He is a jealous God. But He does not NEED our worship and when we worship, it is for our benefit.

everything you want to know about Gods character is in the life of Jesus.
Read Mathew, Luke, Mark and John(Jesus life on earth) from the bible and you yourself will find the answer, which is better than listening to man's opinions.

it seems rather arrogant and cocky to assume god is human-like. We aren't the only animals here, afterall. and whats so great about us? We have a waste factory next to a recreational area. We kill each other. We start wars. We destroy our planet.

God will neither punish one who does nt praise HIm(you have no better word to refer togod in third person singular in any case ) nor will confer any special favour on those who praise HIm.He does nt hae he low mean human characteristics and itis he human charcteristics that has protrayed god much like the one havin the human charcterists .God is totally diferent from the humans and it is those different characteristics hat mark divinity from humanity.
See what Lord Kriahna has to say in his Bhagavad -gita :
"I am impartial to all ceatures,
and no one is hateful or dear to me ,
but devoted to me are in me.
and I am within them ........verse 29 of the 9Th teaching .
Those who believe in god stand by the highest dicipline and so they reaches the highest way.It is not whqat that god gives you . It is ordiend in natuer that by doing yu r duty as an offering to /god , you stnd by thehigest wway that takes yu to god
without faith in sacred duty,
men fail to reach me , Arjuna
they return to the cycle
of death and rebirth."...verse 3 of 9Th teaching .
Things happen according to the natural and divine law and god does not have to be dispensing it to individuals at his discretion. god will have no prefernce , bias and partiality.

God the Father is the Supreme Being in whom we believe and whom we worship. He is the ultimate Creator, Ruler, and Preserver of all things. He is perfect, has all power, and knows all things. He "has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's" The true understanding of the Godhead was lost in the apostasy that followed the Savior's mortal ministry and the deaths of His Apostles. From the teachings of the prophets, we know that the members of the Godhead are three separate beings. The Father and the Son have tangible bodies of flesh and bones, and the Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit.
Although the members of the Godhead are distinct beings with distinct roles, they are one in purpose and doctrine. They are perfectly united in bringing to pass Heavenly Father's divine plan of salvation.
One of life's great questions is "Who am I?" We are all literally children of God, spiritually begotten in the premortal life. The knowledge that we are children of God provides strength, comfort, and hope. As His children, we can be assured that we have divine, eternal potential and that He will help us in our sincere efforts to reach that potential.
As children of God, we have a special relationship with Him, setting us apart from all His other creations. We should seek to know our Father in Heaven. He loves us, and He has given us the precious opportunity to draw near to Him as we pray. Our prayers, offered in humility and sincerity, are heard and answered.
We can also come to know our Father by learning about His Beloved Son and applying the gospel in our lives.
We draw near to God the Father as we study the scriptures and the words of the prophets and as we give service. When we follow God's will and live as He would have us live, we become more like Him and His Son. We prepare ourselves to return to live in Their presence.
