Yes. I also press the lift button several times when I am in a hurry.

Yes! i don't know why though, it's not like it will make a difference. I also hit the back where the batteries are. Some times it actually gives them a second wind (at least for a few seconds). You can also take out the batteries and put them back in, it sometimes helps for a couple of second also.

Futile, I know, but something in me clings to the belief that if I just press the button hard enough it'll work. Some deep psychological thing, I expect. :D After one or two tries I give up and change the batteries, though.

i do but its a mental thing. i just have to press the button twice when the battery is low
